The house had a poor state of preservation, given the lack occupation over a long period of time and the origin of the building, which dates from 1900. The shortage of installations and their obsolescence, force to adapt the housing to the current needs. The structure of the slab, made with wooden beams and ceramic filler blocks, will be strengthened to prevent annoying vibration and improve their resistence.

Under the new requirements a two-bedroom apartment is required. We projected internal redistribution with the renovation of the installations and repairs of existing construction pathologies.

The predominant longitudinal form gives ventilation on two fronts, one on Valencia Street and the other inside the block.

In the central part of the housing the entrance hall and corridor spaces communicate day and night spaces. We redistribute both rooms on the facade of Valencia Street, to the north. The master bedroom has a dressing room and bathroom. From the hallway is access to a second bath near the living area. In the rear facade, south, we removed the partitions to group the living room, dining room and kitchen. In the rear balcony the function keeps the same: laundry and drying .

Therefore, the overall resulting program has entrance hall, two bedrooms, dressing room, two bathrooms, corridor, living room, kitchen and laundry.

For the rehabilitation we going for the preservation of the maximum of original elements, demonstrating the value of the most relevant and updating the most damaged.
